More Control. Better Visibility. Smarter Classrooms: New Updates to Content Filter & Classroom Manager

Our latest product update release brings new enhancements across Content Filter and Classroom Manager. These updates focus on giving administrators and educators more control, greater visibility, and smarter tools to support safe and effective learning environments.

From enhanced monitoring and reporting capabilities to improved classroom controls, SIS integrations, and built-in AI support, these updates are designed to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and help teachers and administrators act faster with confidence.

Content Filter Updates

We’ve rolled out a set of updates to Content Filter that give administrators more control and improved visibility, while continuing to strengthen performance across the user-friendly web filtering platform.

More Flexible Monitoring Controls

Managing what gets monitored is now more precise. Administrators can enable or disable platform monitoring based on IP ranges, as well as by Organizational Unit (OU) or custom groups defined in Content Filter. This adds flexibility and makes it easier to customize monitoring to your district’s environment, reduces excess noise, and makes sure the right users and networks are covered.

Faster Policy Management

To streamline policy creation and updates, we’ve added search capability to both the Categories and Global Sites lists. This allows admins to locate and manage specific policies faster and with less manual effort, particularly for more complex policies.

Smarter Malware Protection

Newly reported sites are now automatically added to the Malware category. This helps block emerging threats more quickly and keeps policies current without additional administrative effort.

Expanded Reporting Capabilities

Reporting capabilities have been expanded with an increased summary data export limit, growing from 500 to 5,000 results. This makes it easier to analyze trends, share insights, and meet reporting requirements.

Built-In AI Support Assistant

A new AI assistant is now available directly within the platform, providing quick access to guides, support messaging, and ticket tracking. This means help is always available without leaving your workflow.

Improved Violation Reporting with Machine Learning Feedback

We’ve introduced a new “False Positive” action for machine-learning risk violations. When administrators flag a violation as a false positive, that feedback is used to retrain our ML models. This continuously improves detection accuracy and reduces unnecessary alerts over time.

Performance Enhancements Behind the Scenes

We’ve also improved data ingestion methods across the platform to enhance performance and align with current code quality standards. While largely behind the scenes, these updates help ensure Content Filter remains fast, reliable, and scalable.

Classroom Manager Updates

Classroom Manager continues to evolve with enhancements designed to improve visibility, simplify classroom setup, and give educators greater control during live sessions, while also improving reliability and administration behind the scenes.

Smarter Session Defaults and Visibility

Teachers can now set scenes as the default for a session, reducing setup time and promising a consistent experience every time a class begins. We’ve also added a zoom-out enhancement to the session view, providing better visibility across all student screens. This is especially helpful in larger classrooms.

Greater Control During Active Sessions

Teachers and administrators now have the ability to close “chrome://” URLs. This gives them more control to keep students focused during live sessions and helps prevent students from trying to bypass the filters. In addition, co-teachers and admins now have full main teacher capabilities, which improves collaboration, teacher coverage, and flexibility in shared classrooms.

SIS Integrations for Easier Classroom Sync

Classroom setup is now faster and more automated with new SIS integrations for Canvas and PowerSchool. These integrations allow classrooms to sync directly from your SIS, reducing manual setup and maintaining accurate and up-to-date rosters.

Expanded Reporting Capabilities

Classroom Manager now supports an increased summary data export limit, expanded from 500 to 5,000 results, making it easier to analyze activity and share reports with administrators.

Built-In AI Support Assistant

An in-platform AI assistant is now available to provide quick access to guides, support messaging, and ticket tracking. This means help is always within reach without interrupting your class.

Improved Violations Data and Search Reliability

We’ve resolved several issues to improve accuracy and usability within Violations. This includes fixing invalid data entries related to deleted risks, risks associated with removed groups, and duplicate toxicity risks. We also resolved an issue with Device IP searches, making investigations and audits more reliable.

Updated Exclusions Management

The internal exclusions list has been updated with additional sites to help filtering behavior remain accurate and aligned with current browsing patterns.
