After a lot of behind-the-scenes work and feedback from educators, we’re excited to share more about our newest tool, Classroom Manager by ManagedMethods.
Built to give teachers more visibility and control over student online activity during class, Classroom Manager is now available as part of our web filtering solution platform: Content Filter. Google Classroom Integration: This automatically syncs classrooms from Google Classroom into Classroom Manager, making them readily available for teachers to use.
Teachers can view browsing activity: Teachers can now view students’ browsing activity during their class. This helps ensure students stay focused and engaged during class. Browsing data updates in real time as the class progresses, offering valuable insights into overall student activity. While it may not appear instantly, you’ll see it start to populate quickly and continue to build throughout the session.
Favicon visibility: Classroom Manager displays the favicon—the small icon shown on a Chrome tab—for each website a student has open, making it easy for teachers to identify sites at a glance. These icons are clickable, allowing the teacher to instantly switch the active tab on the student’s screen.
View sites open at the class level: We also recently added the ability for teachers to view a list of students who have a specific site open at the class level—a small but helpful feature for monitoring engagement.
