ManagedMethods Introduces New Integrations with Box, Dropbox and Google Apps

Delivers Visibility and Control of Popular Cloud Storage and Collaboration Apps

(Boulder, Colorado, February 29, 2016) ManagedMethods, a new contender in the cloud access security space, today announced its latest release of Cloud Access Monitor with new audit and policy enforcement for popular cloud storage and collaboration applications Box, Dropbox, and Google Apps. Cloud Access Monitor gives companies visibility into the usage and potential risk associated with using both sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud applications. New API integrations allow the solution to easily plug into a company’s Box, Dropbox, and Google Apps accounts, giving IT Security teams the visibility they need to monitor user access and activity.

With more than 240,000 people already actively using Google Apps, Google estimates another 1,800 customers sign up for Drive for Work each week. And, with Box and Dropbox collectively supporting more than 200,000 businesses, these new integrations from ManagedMethods deliver much-needed visibility and control into the applications and files users are accessing and sharing in the cloud.

“As more organizations adopt these types of cloud-based work tools, IT Security is left with a risky blindside,” said ManagedMethods Chairman and CEO Charlie Sander. “We’re pleased to be able to provide a complementary solution that allows companies to improve collaboration and work efficiency without taking on unnecessary security risk.”

Cloud Access Monitor’s passive listening of network traffic gives IT a non-intrusive way to see:

  • Which cloud applications are in use
  • Who is using them
  • How often they are used
  • What data is being exchanged with the Cloud
  • Potential risk associated with the use of those cloud apps

Deep packet capture is a key component of Cloud Access Monitor that goes beyond log entries to allow granular analysis at a deeper level than logs can. Cloud Access Monitor’s 24/7 monitoring can also watch for the movement of secure information such as Social Security numbers, credit card numbers or other personally identifiable information (PII and PCI), helping companies meet compliance regulations.

Cloud Access Monitor is generally available from ManagedMethods and a network of value-added solutions providers. For more information on Cloud Access Monitor and these new integrations, contact sales@managedmethods.com.
