ManagedMethods Partners with Ixia to Deliver Complete Visibility for Cloud Application Monitoring

(Boulder, Colorado, February 25, 2016) ManagedMethods, a new contender in the cloud access security space, today announced a partnership with Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA), the market leader in network visibility solutions, to help organizations prevent Shadow IT. The joint solution provides complete visibility into network traffic and cloud application usage in a highly scalable, easy-to-deploy system.

“We are pleased to partner with Ixia to give customers more options for full network protection against Shadow IT,” said Charlie Sander, Chairman and CEO at ManagedMethods. “Our Cloud Access Monitor solution integrates with Ixia’s network visibility solutions to identify and ensure that all Cloud applications running on customer networks are working efficiently and without risk.”

Cloud adoption is now mainstream, and with it comes more opportunities for data leaks, malware attacks, and the problematic visibility and security issues of Shadow IT. Cloud security firm Alert Logic says globally, cloud security attacks are growing 45% year-over-year and Forrester predicts enterprises will spend $2 billion in the next five years to strengthen their cloud security.

Ixia’s visibility solution integrates with ManagedMethods’ Cloud Access Monitor (CAM) to monitor the customer’s network and to help prevent risk. CAM monitors corporate networks for cloud application usage and potential risk, giving the IT security team the ability know which cloud apps are in use, who is using them, and what data is being shared. Ixia’s visibility architecture provides full CAM access to all needed physical and virtual network traffic for complete protection against Shadow IT threats.
