BOULDER, Colo.—April 7, 2021—ManagedMethods, the leading Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 cybersecurity, student safety and compliance platform for K-12 school districts, today announced the company has been named a finalist in three categories of The EdTech Awards 2021 program. ManagedMethods was named a Cool Tool finalist in the security solution and student data privacy solution categories, and a Trendsetter finalist as a product setting a trend in edtech.
District IT departments continue to face new challenges surrounding cybersecurity, student safety, and compliance in schools. The security perimeter in schools continues to expand as students, teachers, and staff use video conferencing and cloud-based collaboration tools more consistently. This increase in cloud activity outside the traditional security perimeter exposes districts to more vulnerabilities for IT teams to address.
ManagedMethods quickly answered the call from K-12 IT leaders for more monitoring and reporting of school activity in Google Classroom, Google Meet and Chat due to the rapid increase in new hybrid learning environments. These features introduced in 2020 not only help protect school data infrastructure and the personal information of students and staff. ManagedMethods also helps monitor for signals of student safety risks in learning environments powered by Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
