Content Marketing Manager

Description / Overview:

ManagedMethods is actively seeking a proven Content Marketing Manager for full-time employment. The ideal candidate has excellent storytelling, writing, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable planning, managing, and executing all areas required for a high-converting B2B content marketing strategy. Candidates should also be a creative thinker, able to maintain tight project deadlines, analyze data to drive decisions, and optimize content based on performance and goals.

This role is based in Boulder, CO, and is location-specific; remote applicants will not be considered at this time. Some work from home flexibility is available, but this is not currently a full-time remote position.

The Content Marketing Manager position is located in the marketing department, reporting to the VP of Marketing. This position does not currently have any direct reports. Please send your resume and portfolio of work, including any metrics/stats you have to show the impact of your work.

Responsibilities:

  • Design content and SEO marketing strategies, develop/manage the content calendar, and create and execute on short-term goals
  • Create various types of content such as checklists, ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, blogs, videos, etc. to be promoted for lead generation and thought leadership
  • Create a set number of lead magnet/downloadables per month to increase lead generation/contact reconversions
  • Own blog strategy, planning, creation/writing, and optimization
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging content on a regular basis
  • Edit, proofread and improve content on a regular basis
  • Optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics data
  • Connect with customers to conduct interviews and write case studies/testimonials, and to help inform future content topics/types/improvements
  • Own webinar calendar, planning, promotions, registration/lead generation, etc
  • Help develop, write, and optimize website page content/messaging
  • Develop, write, and optimize landing page content/messaging that converts
  • Industry and competitive research focused on new/improving content marketing program
  • Own content performance analysis and reporting

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven B2B content marketing experience; with portfolio of work and stats to share
  • Highly creative both in content creation and in thinking and problem solving; able to think beyond “how we’ve always done it” to come up with new, unique, and engaging ideas
  • Experience in creating various types of content such as ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, blogs, videos, etc.
  • Exceptional storyteller, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization, project, and time management skills
  • Ability to explain (and, at times, visualize) complex concepts simply
  • At least intermediate SEO knowledge, working understanding of on-page SEO
  • WordPress proficiency; experience managing website content
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, or similar platform
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and using data to make informed decisions
  • Email marketing experience
  • An eye for design; proven ability to create basic visual/rich media/video content
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and/or etc.
  • Business acumen: you understand that you’re not just creating pretty pictures, but contributing to the revenue and profitability growth of the company
  • Passion for developing a career in content and/or inbound marketing
  • Sense of urgency & ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Team player with a “get it done” attitude

Extra Credit For:

  • Cybersecurity and/or tech startup industry experience
  • K-12 and/or Higher Education industry experience
  • HubSpot platform experience and/or certification
  • Graphic design and/or video marketing experience
  • SEMRush (or similar) experience

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $60 – $70K, DOE
  • Equity ownership
  • 2 weeks PTO increases to 4 in 5th year of employment

Lead Software Engineer

Description / Overview:

This role is part of the Engineering team and you will have a significant role in influencing the product direction. This role will have responsibility for product architecture, design decisions, and ensuring a production-ready code. This person will work closely with the support team, the rest of the engineering team across the world, and our customers.

This is an opportunity to join a company that is playing in a growing market segment. We are a polyglot engineering organization and we use Google Cloud, GKE, Google Pub/Sub, ML engine, Java, Go, Python, Node JS. We use React extensively on the front end.

Location is Boulder, CO or remote for highly qualified candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of product architecture and design
  • Work closely with the rest of the engineering team on common services
  • Lead an effort to migrate part of the product using traditional Java to cloud-native
  • Diagnose customer and support reported problems in the service and fix them
  • Help identify tech debt and escalate it to the right feature owners to fix them
  • Work on assigned feature development
  • Optimize the performance and scalability of the SaaS service
  • Learn and become an expert on Google Cloud Platform and associated services
  • Attend level 2 support calls as needed and sales escalation calls

Required Experience and Skills:

Must Have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of software development experience in Java Spring framework
  • Experience with Springboot and Springcloud
  • Must know Cloud-native principles and basics of Kubernetes and serverless
  • Experience with SQL and query optimization

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of security protocols like OAuth
  • Java Performance analysis
  • Understanding of complex web applications including backend and databases
  • Experience building analytical graphs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a geographic territory, cultivate new relationships, educating prospects, and ultimately driving new sales to exceed revenue targets
  • You will conduct sales presentations, demonstrate the product, and perform calls and emails necessary to develop a strong relationship with the prospects
  • Demonstrate an effective approach to developing your territory and keeping a business plan up-to-date, and building on a proper sales strategy. This includes having an in-depth knowledge at all times of your territory, market trends, competitor activity, and budgetary constraints
  • Ongoing learning of product and sales techniques. This is a technical SaaS product and changing market, that requires you to upgrade your knowledge and demonstrate this expertise in conversations with prospects
  • Manage product evaluations, and coordinate with sales engineers to provide a high level of success through our standard 30-60 day evaluations
  • You will report to the Director of Sales, produce sales forecasts, and use Salesforce, HubSpot Sales Hub, and other tools

Required Experience and Skills:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years of technology/SaaS sales or equivalent experience
  • Ability to learn and explain technical concepts to prospective customers
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with solid communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic and aggressive environment
  • Enthusiastic personality with the ability to create rapport quickly
  • Experience selling SaaS or cloud-based solutions in the cybersecurity industry a plus, but not required
  • Have a valid US driver’s license
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 3-5 days per month
