Student safety risks online, such as cyberbullying and explicit content, are growing concerns that can have serious consequences for students. When it comes to mental health and safety, schools need to be able to detect signs of distress online and in school-provided technology to prevent a situation from going from bad to worse.
However, picking up on these signals is exceptionally difficult. Many schools lack the resources to proactively monitor the well-being of their students online effectively. This is where technology and your district's IT department can make a huge difference in students’ lives.
During this session, Kyle Pezzolla, IT Manager at Windsor Learning Center, and Jose Mendoza, IT Systems Manager at Sage Oak Charter School, donated their time to share their experiences and help your district improve student safety online. You'll also see a demonstration of ManagedMethods' Cloud Monitor platform while learning how Kyle and Jose use Cloud Monitor to help protect their students and educate them on digital citizenship.
