Integration provides control and visibility into network and cloud application usage

(Boulder, Colorado – April 21, 2016) – ManagedMethods, a leading provider in the cloud access security broker space, today announced a partnership with WatchGuard, a global leader of integrated, multi-function business security solutions. Specifically, ManagedMethods’ Cloud Access Monitor has been integrated with WatchGuard’s Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances to provide IT security teams with control and visibility into both network and cloud application usage.

“We are pleased to launch our partnership with WatchGuard,” said Charlie Sander, CEO of ManagedMethods. “ManagedMethods’ integration with WatchGuard’s family of appliances assures our joint customers and prospects that our solutions can provide comprehensive network visibility with cloud audit and control to expose Shadow IT.”

It’s no secret that cloud application (SaaS) usage is on the rise, and the use of both sanctioned and unsanctioned SaaS apps have created an intensified risk of data leaks, malware attacks, and the problematic visibility and security issues of Shadow IT.

“Companies today are dealing with ever-increasing threats from cyber-attacks while challenged with the need to safely leverage cloud services,” said Ryan Orsi, WatchGuard Director of Strategic Alliances. “Our integration with ManagedMethods strengthens the WatchGuard value by providing customers with a solution for identifying and blocking high-risk cloud applications and usage.”

ManagedMethods and WatchGuard have formed this partnership to deliver enhanced network security and control of Shadow IT. The combination of these two security solutions ensures high-performance network protection and cloud application security to address rapidly evolving threat landscapes.
