K-12 school districts are rapidly adopting technology to improve student experiences

However, at the same time, districts are increasingly experiencing cybersecurity incidents that put students and staff at a great risk, explains Charlie Sander.

The cybersecurity risks to the education sector in the U.S. was made evident by 2019 cybersecurity incidents in Alabama, Arizona, New York and others. This is captured in a report issued by the company ManagedMethods (a G Suite and Office 365 cybersecurity provider for K-12 school districts). The report contains information, such as the regions of the U.S. that experienced the most cybersecurity incidents, the frequency of attacks made against districts of all sizes, what size and locale of school district is most likely to experience a cyber incident and more other cybersecurity issues.
